When ozone comes in contact with a contaminant such as bacteria, odors, and viruses
it becomes an oxidant. Ozone (O3), sometimes referred to as “triatomic oxygen”,
contains three atoms of oxygen rather than the two atoms we normally breathe. Ozone
is the second most powerful oxidant in the world and can be used to destroy bacteria,
viruses, and eliminates odors, then safely converts back to oxygen (O2).
